We have a whole week of vacation events planned, including a storyteller on Tuesday, Legos on Wednesday, a teen program on Thursday, and a visit from Blades, the Bruins mascot, during storytime on Friday! Read more about all these great programs below, under "Upcoming Events."
And don't forget: from February 1st to March 15th, libraries across Massachusetts are collecting pajamas for the 10th annual Boston Bruins PJ Drive. A donation of new pajamas for children is greatly appreciated! The donation bin is located in the front lobby of the library. Thank you!
Rona is one person, but many voices. Through her, skies talk, turtles sing, and magic happens! She’ll have you dancing, swaying in your seats, making funny noises, singing, and laughing, as she shares stories from the silly to the serious, from the mysterious to the monstrous. This event is thanks to a Topsfield Cultural Council grant and the Friends of the Topsfield Library. There is no sign up required and it is open to all ages!
Our popular school vacation event returns! Join us for an afternoon of free-building with our Legos. We'll bring the Legos; you bring your imagination. There is no sign up required for this event.
Shweta Tekade, a henna tattoo artist, will be teaching us how to design and apply henna tattoos. Supplies will be handed out at the program, so all you need to do is register! Register online, or by contacting or visiting the Children's Room (978-887-1528 x104). This event is FREE thanks to the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library!
Join the library staff in your cozy pajamas, and come to the library for storytime with Blades, the Boston Bruins mascot! Meet and take pictures with Blades, hear a story, do crafts, and have fun! This event is sponsored by Cradles to Crayons, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, the Boston Bruins, and the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library.
Totally Tots is a playgroup at the Topsfield Town Library, run by Coordinated Family Community Engagement (CFCE). This playgroup is an opportunity for children to create, invent, reason and problem solve. Please register online at the CFCE website. CFCE is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care awarded to Peabody Public Schools.
Homework Club is an after-school club for grades four through six, taking place on Monday afternoons from 3:15-4:00pm (except on early release days and days when school is not in session). Stop by to have a snack and get started on homework with your friends!
Winter Storytime has ended, but Spring Storytime begins in April! Monthly pajama storytimes, led by CFCE, take place on the second Thursday of each month, at 5:30pm. See our storytime page for details.
