Gingerbread signups have begun!

The Friends of the Library will be hosting their annual Gingerbread House Decorating program on Saturday, Dec. 1st, with a special limited session on Friday, Nov. 30th. Signups have now begun!

When: Friday, 11/30, 6:30pm; Saturday, 12/1, 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, and 1:30.
Cost: $10/child for Friends members (cap of $20/family) or $20/child for non-members (cap of $40/family)

Signups must be done in the Children's Room. We cannot take signups over phone or by email. Payment must be made at time of signup. We can take cash, check, or credit card.

babyTiny Tots!
Monday, Nov. 19th

Tiny Tots! is a special lapsit playtime with sensory toys and books for babies through age 2. Bring your baby to play at the library to read stories, play with scarves, shakers, and other fun activities! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Topsfield Library and requires no sign up.

Thursday, Nov. 29th

This fun-filled playgroup focuses on early literacy through engaging music and exciting stories! No registration is required; just come on in to have a blast! For children birth and up with a parent/caregiver. This program is run by Coordinated Family Community Engagement (CFCE) of the North Shore, which is funded by the CGCE grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care awarded to Peabody Public Schools. Internet Policy
Your child must have a signed Internet policy on file if they are planning on using the internet at the library.

Unattended Child Policy
Please be aware of our rules regarding unattended children. Children under nine years of age should be accompanied by an adult while in the library.

Behavior Policy

Please be sure that your child is aware of rules regarding behavior at the library, and honors these rules while in the building.

  • Storyline Online Celebrities like William Daniels, Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, and James Earl Jones read storybooks aloud, accompanied by videos of the story.

  • Scholastic Reading Suggestions Reading suggestions by age and topic. Perfect for when you need suggestions but don’t know where to start!
